Baptized

Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:13-16

We are about to have Palm Sunday at my church. This is a big baptism day. When we baptize, we ask people the question “Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God”. This is what Peter was giving by the Holy Spirit as he understood the most important question in all the world… who is Jesus to me?

Who is Jesus to me personally? Yes, He is Lord, Savior (Christ), my source and my goal. He is life itself. I will always draw strength and joy from the day I was baptized. It happened in Lake Perris, California. It was there that I walked out into the waters and laid my life down for His sake, and rose up to serve Him.

Lord Jesus, I know that you are real and live in me. I thank you for saving me from sin and leading and guiding my life. I wonder what amazing surprises await me today.
