Unbroken Fellowship

unknown sinNow if the whole congregation of Israel commits error and the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, and they commit any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, and they become guilty; when the sin which they have committed becomes known, then the assembly shall offer a bull of the herd for a sin offering and bring it before the tent of meeting. Leviticus 4:13-14

There are sins we commit that are unknown to us at the time. Later we discover that we failed to obey God’s commands or neglected doing something He desired. Often, its when someone who was hurt, points out our error. The response to these unknown sins is to make recognize our guilt and come clean. I love that this offering is made at the tent of meeting, because God desire is that we would quickly be back in a right relationship with Him and others.

Is there any unknown sin that God or others are bringing to my attention and awareness? How am I responding? Am I bringing my guilt to God and trusting His forgiveness and the offering Jesus paid on the cross to restore our fellowship? Yes.

God, I know its not the blood bulls and goats that were the acceptable sacrifice for my sins. It was the once for all sacrificial death of Jesus upon the cross that counted. Please reveal to me, moment by moment, by Your Spirit, my conscience and by others whenever I have unknowingly sinned. I will come to You, in Jesus name to relieve the guilt and receive forgiveness and continue in unbroken fellowship.
