Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men. John 2:23
After Jesus had performed a few miracles there were people beginning to believe in Him. Others believed in His name. They didn’t really know Him. And Jesus was not ‘entrusting Himself’ to them. Very interesting. Their lack of commitment was reciprocated. Jesus would later say that ‘he who has, more would be given him’.
Have I come to Christ with a full, all-out, all-in commitment? Yes. Though sometimes my zeal can be lacking. Praise God, that His spirit fills me and moves me.
Today Lord Jesus, let’s do something extraordinary together! I trust You and believe in You.
