Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you!
He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 12:!0-12
The blowing of the seventh trumpet marks the beginning of victory! The tide turns in the cosmic battle of the ages. Satan is cast down from heaven and salvation and the kingdom of God advance. Our part in all this is our testimony and faithfulness even to die for the sake of Jesus and the gospel. Heaven rejoices. But, things will be difficult on earth for a short time.
I wonder where exactly we are in history? What part of the vision of revelation are we experiencing right now? Am I ready for this chapter to begin? Is my testimony sure? Has the blood of the Lamb brought triumph in my life?
God, what an exciting (and for some scary) time that is coming. Oh, that I will be faithful to You all the way. Help me prepare now in Your Word and in love to be the person that has a testimony for Jesus.
