Great are the works of the Lord; They are studied by all who delight in them.
Splendid and majestic is His work, And His righteousness endures forever.
He has made His wonders to be remembered. Psalm 111:2-4
The Story! God’s Story. It is all of our stories put together in response to Jesus Christ who is the central figure in all of history. The psalmist says there is a delight in studying the Bible; God’s great works. His majesty, righteousness and splendid nature are all revealed in His interactions with us. And lastly, these wonders of God are to be remembered, shared, and celebrated.
How important is the Bible to me? How much delight and pleasure do I derive from studying it? Quite a bit. The Bible is integral to who I am and what I do. I have re-oriented my life and story around His Story.
God, as we begin as a church to read The Story version of the Bible, I pray that me, my extended family, and so many more find the meaning of our lives because we find You.
