Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood.
And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD.
And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face — even Jacob. Psalm 24:3-6
Every generation is marked by their conduct. Those who lived during the second world war were called the “greatest generation” by reporter Tom Brokaw. He recognized their enormous sacrifice, valor, and determination.
I hope my generation will be known as “those who seek the Lord”. How am I modeling this characteristic? Clean hands, a pure heart, a soul not lifted to falsehood, telling the truth and God’s blessing will mark that generation.
God, I am seeking You this morning. I want to see Your face and know Your mind on all matters. I am willing to wrestle with You like Jacob to receive that blessing.
