The Lord said to Aaron, You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites. Numbers 18:20
In all of God’s provision for Aaron and his extended family (that included the Levites), a very special designation was given. Wherein, all the other tribes of Israel were able to establish land holdings as an inheritance for their children, Aaron was not permitted this inheritance. Instead, a much greater inheritance was given, the Lord said “I am your share and your inheritance”. Amazing! That inheritance has been passed to every believer. We know God in a person way. He is our share. We are co-heirs with Christ according to Romans 8:17.
Do I look for earthly security or am I counting on my inheritance being in heaven? Its a tricky thing… living in the flesh and the world today, but being of a different country altogether – that as a citizen of heaven.
God, I will accept and rejoice in my heavenly inheritance, in You! You are my prize and my goal. Oh that I might share that inheritance with many others. Use me for Your glorious purposes today.
