Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them. Psalm 126:4-6
I like to restore and fix things. This song is sung to recall the regathering of God’s people who were dispersed in the Babylonian captivity. The psalmist anticipates the restoration of fortunes and that seeds sown in tears would now be reaped in joy. God is that way. He restores and fixes things.
What in my life needs restoration? How could God use me as part of His restoration plan?
Lord, I am available today. Please allow me to be part of Your plan to help those who are sowing in tears to reap with songs of joy. I think about my friends suffering the loss of their beloved mother in this season. Please bring comfort and peace within the family.
