Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage —with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2
Paul gave Timothy some final instructions that began with the importance of good doctrine. Notice that at the center is God’s Word – the Bible. Each of us who have influence and leadership should steward it with the Bible as the centerpiece of our ministry.
Am I able to preach the word? Am I prepared in an instant to share the meaning of the Bible to bring correction, a rebuke, or encouragement? Do I share the word iith patience and careful application, so people know what to do? I am getting better and better.
Lord Jesus, You are the Master. Teach me, so I can teach others. Make me ready to preach.
