For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord. I Corinthians 4:4

Shakespeare said “be true to thyself, and it follows, you can be false to no other”. The Bible says that if God examines me, and I agree and confess my sin before Him. He is just and righteous and will forgive and cleanse. Being right with God prepares me to be right with others. That’s why its the first and greatest command.

Am I allowing God and His Word to be the examiner of my life? Am I agreeing with Him and changing when and where necessary? Yes.

Lord, I believe I can say “I am conscious of nothing against myself”. Thank you for Your great forgiveness and the mighty working of Your Holy Spirit in me.
