“THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD,
AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,
ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”
For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.” I Corinthians 2:9-10
God foreordained that Christ would come. This is the wisdom of God. Those opposed to God could not see this marvelous mystery unfolding as Jesus Christ went to the cross and bore the sins of the world. Had they (the Romans, the Jews, the demons) perceived what was happening, they would not have crucified Him. God gives His people spiritual insight into His mysterious will through His abiding Holy Spirit.
How well do I understand what God is doing in our world right now? Am I seeking the wisdom of God hour by hour. Is each day filled with another revelation of how God is pouring His love out upon people? Yes, in some ways I am aware. How much more I could seek Him!
God, as this day begins and unfolds, by the prompting of Your Spirit, and by my diligence in seeking You in prayer, please give me access to the things which “No eye has seen, no ear has heard”.
