Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. Romans 12:9
Love is multifaceted. For love to be without hypocrisy, unfeigned, genuine and sincere, it must be consistent with all the expressions of love. Love abhors evil. Love clings to what is good. It is expressed in devotion, giving preference, keeping up, fervency, service, rejoicing, persevering, praying, giving to other Christians and lastly practicing hospitality. When we act contrary to any of these we are in some way acting with hypocrisy.
Am I fully committed to a life of love? Yes, I decided that with all I am and I have, Jesus is my master and my model.
Holy Spirit reveal to me whenever hypocrisy creeps into my life. Help me express all the aspects of love, so that Jesus shines through my every thought and action.
