Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.
Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I will pray.
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:1-3;11-12
God listens to us. Amazing as it seems, the God of the universe and maker of all things, inclines His ear to our prayers. David says to God that He can expect to hear from him every morning. What a great way to start each day, trusting the cares of each day to Him. My friend Candy used to pray every day “good morning God, this is Your day, I am Your child, please show me Your way”. Not a bad prayer at all.
How about me? Is the pattern of my life to start each day with God in prayer?
Lord, this morning I am starting with You. Oh I pour out the challenges before You. Use me, but also go before me for success. Help me minister to everyone I meet with the grace and love of Jesus.
