The Lord your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you came to this place.’ Deuteronomy 1:30-32
What a beautiful picture of God’s love and care. He describes how He brought Israel out of Egypt and how He will bring them into the promised land. Many people relate to God as a distant authority they must appease. He chooses to relate to us as a Heavenly Father.
Do I see God going before me in all my battles? How do I relate to Him?
God, today I choose to let You love me and carry me like your son! I am safe in Your arms and able to enter the land You are giving me. I pray Maureen and I can be a blessing to our friends Walter and Nellie today.
