I, wisdom, dwell with prudence and I find knowledge and discretion.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverted mouth, I hate.
Counsel is mine and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, power is mine. Proverbs 8:12-14
The world was made in accordance with God’s wisdom. The wisdom of God is higher than that of man. For God’s wisdom presupposes righteousness. Man can be clever, or ingenious, but evil. For the believer, Jesus Christ is our wisdom. In Him, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells. In Him, we find the living example of God’s intention. He is our source and our goal.
Would others say I possess godly wisdom? Do I?
Lord, I want to act with Your wisdom, led by Your Spirit, informed by Your Word, supported by Your people. I am asking according the promise offered in the book of James. I lack wisdom, would You give me Your’s liberally? I am looking forward to what You have in mind today.
