Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.
So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them. Exodus 2:23-25
Sometimes we remember the promises of God and wonder if God has forgotten. God doesn’t forget and He is always faithful.
The descendants of Israel had continued to grow in their time in Egypt, but life was difficult and oppression was commonplace. God remembered His covenant with Abraham. I wonder if God’s people also remembered and wondered when and how that promise of the land flowing with milk and honey would materialize. God was preparing a deliverer. His name is Moses.
What promises of God are yet to materialize in my life? Have I prayed and talked with God about them lately? What is my part?
God as this day begins, please give me the strength to fulfill Your will and to learn the material for my exams coming up. I know You are faithful!
