Tiny, But Mighty

Four things are small on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise:
The ants are not a strong people, but they prepare their food in the summer;
The shephanim (rock badgers) are not mighty people, yet they make their houses in the rocks;
The locusts have no king, yet all of them go out in ranks;
The lizard you may grasp with the hands, yet it is in kings’ palaces. Proverbs 30:24-28

Sometimes I would be on a sports team and declare “We are Tiny, but Mighty!” Agur writes these proverbs and points out four things that are small on the earth but are exceedingly wise (mighty). What can we learn from these examples? Ants prepare for the next season in life. Rock badgers use naturally occurring resources. Locusts are egalitarian and cooperative (flat organization structure). Lizards live like kings without the expense (frugal).

How am I applying the lessons and learnings from God’s creation?

God, help me be a good steward of the resources You’ve entrusted to me. May I learn from Your creation and others how to live wisely. I may be tiny in this world, but I desire to be exceedingly wise.
