600 Is The New 60

rainbowNow Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth. Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood. Genesis 7:6-7

How funny that so much of Noah’s life got started in his 600s! I just turned 53 and feel like life is just getting started and the best and most significant years are ahead. How about you? He gathered his family together (literally), went through the flood experience and hit reset on life. All of this as one great act of obedience. I remember talking to a friend named Ray who was a school teacher, coach, principal who left it all, started an orphanage and school in Mexico. He said “I really started living (by faith) at age 52”.

How about me? What significant act of obedience has God called me to?

Lord, thank you for so many wonderful friends and a family that gathers and is supportive of one another. I look forward to what You have ahead. I praise You that You’ve called me to ministry and work that makes an eternal difference. Looking forward to a great week beginning today with a time of worshiping You with Your people. I feel great and for that I am grateful.
