But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me. Psalm 13:5-6
I left my son at a sports park one night after it closed. My wife will never let me forget that I forgot him. Have you ever felt like God forgot about you? David did. He says “How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?” David’s faith in God was assured because he had seen God remember and rescue him before so many times. As a result, he could sing and rejoice even before God acted on his behalf. That’s a great example to all of us.
How about me? Can I trust, rejoice, and sing even before the situation is turned around and God has completed His work?
God, the big things on my mind that I cannot control or really influence… would you bring them to fruition? I will trust. I shall rejoice (in Your salvation), and I will sing!
