But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11
When God called Moses to deliver His people, Moses’ first reaction is tentative. He is uncertain of his own calling. He asks “who am I”? Later, Moses would ask God for His name, and God would say “I am”. What a contrast… who am I, versus I am!
How sure of my calling am I? More and more as I live this life. My calling is to two-fold: to help people take their next step of spiritual growth and to make understandable difficult situations and define the way forward.
God, today I will rest in the fact that You said I can call you by the name: I am. You are!
