“What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?
You made them a little lower than the angels;
You crowned them with glory and honor and put everything under their feet.” Hebrews 2:6-8
Jesus is fully man and yet God. This is a mind blowing expression of God’s great love and condescension to us. The Psalmist wrote about it hundreds of years beforehand. Jesus would be the new man prototype = the second Adam, if you will. In what ways? First to experience death and resurrection. Then, to be a little while lower than the angels. Also, to be crowned with glory.
Am I mindful of my future and eternal destiny? Am I living in appreciation of Jesus? Do I anticipate all that God’s live has afforded me?
Lord Jesus, I am reeling from the eternal plan of God and my part in it. I feel significant because I know You. And You know me. I pray that much can be accomplished today for Your kingdom through me. I am Your servant, one day to be crowned like You in glory (anticipating a chance to cast my crown at Your feet)
