Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:20-21
The Bible says that I have purpose within God’s kingdom (His house). That purpose gets thwarted by misplaced attention on ‘wrangling about words’ and wickedness. When I get caught up in things like these I become a vesel that is just like anyone else (a common unbeliever).
But, I want to be golden.
Master, if there is anything displeasing to you, reveal it so I might be cleansed of it and find myself useful to you. Prepare me for what lies ahead today.
