David really “got” God. He understood His righteousness and love. He points out in this song that God is fair and ministers to the humble. I love the promise that God is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble. Amazing.
Do I really “get” God? Do I understand who He is and His motivation? I am learning more and more each day as I read His word, interact with Him in prayer, and live this life by the leading of the Holy Spirit of God.
Lord, you really do reign forever. Oh that I would keep that eternal perspective which will keep everything else on earth in perspective. You are righteous, help me be the same. You are a refuge in times of trouble. Thank you. I will trust in You!
