The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds;
There is no one who does good.
The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Psalms 14:1-3
The band Stealers Wheel wrote the song with lyrics… “Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right… here I am, stuck in the middle with you.” David sings about the foolish evildoers in his kingdom. He recognizes that ungodly people (those apart from the influence of the Lord Jesus Christ) do not consider God. They are fools.
Is God a consideration in my life, my decisions, and my motivations? Yes. I would be lost and a fool apart from Him.
God, I know that in my flesh there dwells no good thing. But You have redeemed me and come into my life. You lead and guide me. Please do that again today so I might be counted among the wise.
