Finding A Wife

finding-a-wifeMy son, give attention to my wisdom, incline your ear to my understanding;
That you may observe discretion and your lips may reserve knowledge.
For the lips of an adulteress drip honey and smoother than oil is her speech;
But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death, her steps take hold of Sheol.
She does not ponder the path of life; her ways are unstable, she does not know it. Proverbs 5:1-6

I pray more for my kids now that they are older than ever before. One of the prayers is for their relationships and future spouse. I want them to marry someone full of life and committed to the Lord. Solomon illustrates how tragic it is for those who take a cheap counterfeit for what God has for them. He illustrates the importance of choosing God’s way by pointing out the dangerous ways of the adulteress.

Am I helping my sons and daughter know God’s best for their lives? Am I exemplifying what it means to make godly choices and building relationships with those who love the Lord?

God, I thank you that You want what’s best for my children. Thank you that You have blessed Kaister. I pray for Eden (Iggy) that she will find a godly young man while on her adventure in this season of life. For Keanu and Kaenan, I hope they discover a wonderful girl while they serve in ministry. May they each have beautiful lifelong partners in life.
