Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2
Habakkuk prophesied about the brutal invasion of the Babylonians. God’s judgment was upon many people and nations. Habakkuk wisely prays for mercy in the time of wrath.
Should I be praying for God’s mercy in my life and in America? Yes. Certainly I am not without sin. And it seems that my beloved country is suffering and caught up in corruption, violence, and idolatry.
God, let me be an example of a repentant, humble person who is fully devoted to You. May thousands, ten thousands, and millions return to you in a revival of our holiness in our hearts and lives. Do the mighty deeds in Your church to make Your name famous once again.
