And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men; and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day.” And they were deeply grieved. Matthew 17:22-23
Jesus knew a lot about His impending betrayal and death and resurrection. When He shared what was going to happen, the disciples were bummed out on a number of levels. They were at the front end of what God was going to do and there was much suffering and confusion ahead.
How about me? Am I in tune with God and responding emotionally in a health and godly way? I hope so. I first want to be real.
Lord, at this moment the joy is not as natural as usual. I trust in You. Move in me and restore the full joy of thy salvation. After all, You have risen!
