constant contactThe holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, that in them they may be anointed and ordained. For seven days the one of his sons who is priest in his stead shall put them on when he enters the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place. Exodus 29:29-30

A continuous holy relationship, that’s what God wants with us. But, He is holy and we are sinful, rebellious, and self-willed. To bring about the cleansing and holiness in us, God would transfer the penalty of our sin to Jesus on the cross. He would impute righteousness to us, and impart His Holy Spirit within us, to transform us. Aaron and his sons operate as priests serving before God as a type of Christ, administering the offerings to God on behalf of God’s people. In this activity, sin is dealt with, provision received for God’s people and appreciation expressed toward God. In their very outfits, the beauty and glory of God are revealed.

Am I in a continuous, intimate relationship with God that includes constant communication?

God, thank you that You have made me acceptable in Your sight, even holy. I realize that its only because of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, that I am ushered into this communion. Prompt me by Your abiding presence to stay in constant contact.
