“And answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.” Mark 10:51-52
Sometimes Jesus asked a question that would appear to have an obvious answer. In this case, he asked a blind man what he wanted? The man demonstrated faith and trust in Jesus, by asking to see again. This is probably not a case of blindness from birth. Jesus, instantaneously healed him. Amazing. In a moment, all the possibilities of life returned to him.
When Jesus helped me see “spiritually” for the first time, truly all the possibilities opened up for me as well. Do I have faith to ask for God to help me see where I may have blind spots?
Lord, help me regain sight in any areas I have become blind again. If I value worldly things, help me see it. If I am mistreating anyone, reveal it. I want to see.
